Cluj Napoca & Electric Castle

There are some principles in life that guide  everyone of us. These principles , convictions and beliefs dictate our daily behavior . When you leave aside everything you were told , when you simply ignore everything that you knew, something magical happens : your reality becomes different , you are open to all sorts of new things, you turn into a sociable person with a sense of adventure, ready to discover the world and know more. Why? It’s simple. All that is whispered in the ear of the people around us , it is simply a reality of the place we live in, a mechanism well defined , understood by the majority by the term, social conduct . Of course there are some universal human values that should be respected , such as honesty , respect, attention , freedom , fairness, etc.
On a Thursday night I decided to go for a beer with an old friend with whom I hadn’t meet for some time. So to make this decision, my mind created two plans of action which could take place. 1. Out of the house , drink beer , come home,  work for an hour or less etc … Plan two : do not go anywhere , stay at home , a bit of browsing, a bit of work and that’s all . I said to myself  – Get OUT! … This was a decisive moment . Why? Because I had the chance to meet Dan, a cool guy that wanted to go to Cluj Napoca, at a music festival. The most staggering thing was that I also wanted to go visit that place on that saturday. What are the odds ? Quite small , I say. So we left Bucharest and headed to Cluj- Napoca with the 5:45am train from North Station , on the same night that I and Dan met. I was flexible in the way I perceived the situation and I thought that it is pointless to take into account all sorts of worrys and negative thinking . I thought – “Here’s a new adventure! I definitely can learn something out of this… ” and guess what . . .  that’s exactly what happened.
I met interesting and open-minded people, I discovered new places in Romania, it was great. I can’t wait to go again to Electric Castle in 2014.   Maybe we’ll meet, who knows . . .
